Poshmark takes a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% on sales of $15 or more. You keep the rest. The buyer pays for shipping, so it is not part of the fee. On a $50 sale Poshmark takes $10 and you earn $40.

Worked examples
| Sale price | Poshmark fee | You earn | Fee as % of sale |
|---|---|---|---|
| $12 | $2.95 | $9.05 | 24.6% |
| $15 | $3.00 | $12.00 | 20% |
| $50 | $10.00 | $40.00 | 20% |
| $200 | $40.00 | $160.00 | 20% |
Small sales are where the flat fee hurts most: a $12 item gives up almost a quarter of its price. Bundling cheap items into one order turns several $2.95 fees into a single 20% fee.
How the Poshmark fee works
The fee is calculated on the final order price, which is your listing price after any accepted offer or discount. Poshmark briefly tested a different structure in October 2024, charging sellers a percentage plus a fixed fee that included shipping and tax, but withdrew it within weeks. The current Fee Policy, effective November 25, 2024, is the simple $2.95 / 20% model shown here.
Offers and discounts lower your fee too
Because the fee is a share of the final price, accepting a $40 offer on a $50 listing means Poshmark takes $8 instead of $10. Use the calculator with the offer amount to see what you would actually earn before you accept.
What about Posh Shows?
Poshmark's Posh Show policy does not list a separate seller fee for sales made during live shows.
How to work out Poshmark fees by hand
Take the final price the buyer paid for the item, after any offer or discount. If it is under $15, Poshmark keeps $2.95 and you get the rest. If it is $15 or more, Poshmark keeps 20% and you get 80%. Shipping is not part of the sum because the buyer pays it. To find your profit, subtract what the item cost you; there is no postage to subtract when you use Poshmark's prepaid label.
For a $50 listing where you accept a $42 offer: 20% of $42 is $8.40, so you earn $33.60.
Common mistakes
- Calculating 20% on the listing price instead of the accepted offer. The fee follows the final price.
- Using the short-lived October 2024 fees. Poshmark withdrew them; the current policy is $2.95 / 20%.
- Selling lots of items under $15. The flat fee makes them expensive; bundles fix it.
- Adding postage as a cost. With the prepaid label the buyer covers shipping, unless you choose to offer a shipping discount.
Pricing tips
- Price with offers in mind. Buyers expect to negotiate, so list a little higher and check the floor price in target mode.
- Avoid selling single items under $15 unless you bundle them; the flat $2.95 is a large share.
- Compare before you list. On the same item, Depop and Mercari take less, while Poshmark's buyer-paid shipping saves you postage. The eBay fee calculator puts them side by side.
